“Living with a disability shouldn’t get in the way of living the best life that you can live.”

Ross is a great example of someone who is living with a disability and at the same time, not letting the barriers and obstacles prevent him from getting on with his life.

Ross is the director of Team Rossco Pty Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation formed in June 2020 in conjunction with a company called Good Directions. Team Rossco’s sole focus is the provision and maintenance of round the clock physical and mental care for Ross.

At present, Team Rossco employs four staff who are all dedicated in making sure that Ross’ physical and mental needs are met.

Ross is first and foremost, someone who wants to help people less fortunate than himself.

In the past he raised funds for charity by driving his Gopher from Adelaide to Port Augusta as well as attempting to break the world record for the longest, continuous drive of a Gopher.

His next fundraising venture is a Gopher run from Port Augusta back to Adelaide raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Society. An organisation that’s very close to his heart.

Another of Ross’ great passions is his love of music, especially all things local.

He writes songs, is learning guitar (as well as building them), has an extensive music collection and also runs an online community radio station called Care Radio, dedicated to unearthing local musical talent as well as being the voice of the disabled in South Australia.

He has been asked to run as a councillor for the City Of Charles Sturt in the next local government elections. His fresh and unique perspective on disability issues will be most welcomed.

This site exists because, as Ross says… “it’s important for the general public to see first hand just what people with disabilities can do for themselves and for others.”
